Every O Level subject and paper code

Students search for these as both past questions and pass questions — they mean the same thing here. Every Ordinary Level subject below is examined under a syllabus code printed on the paper itself, so checking the code is the fastest way to confirm you are revising the right syllabus.

What Ordinary Level actually asks of you

O Level is sat at the end of Form 5 and is examined across a wide set of subjects rather than a few in depth. That breadth is the defining feature, and it changes how you should revise: the paper rewards covering the whole syllabus adequately far more than it rewards knowing three topics extremely well.

The practical consequence is that the chapter you keep skipping is almost certainly costing you more marks than the chapter you keep re-reading.

Using these papers properly

  1. Sit one paper under real time limits before revising anything. It tells you where you actually stand rather than where you feel you stand.
  2. Mark it strictly against the scheme. Credit only what the scheme credits.
  3. Record why each mark was lost — not knowing it, running out of time, or answering a different question from the one asked. The third is the most common among strong candidates.
  4. Work only on the recurring causes, then sit the same paper again two weeks later.

Sitting the other level, or want both? Use the GCE A Level hub, or the full past questions library. To check what a syllabus covers before you start, see the GCE syllabus page.
